1. Quotation Tips:
1. Gerber files of the bare PCB board.
2. BOM (Bill of material) for assembly.
3. Testing Guide & Test Fixtures if necessary.
4. Programming files & Programming tool if necessary.
5. Schematic if necessary.
To ensure a smooth and efficient PCB manufacturing and assembly process, the following files and documentation must be provided:
Gerber Files of the Bare PCB Board
Includes all necessary layers (copper, solder mask, silkscreen, drill files, etc.) in standard RS-274X format.
Ensure proper layer naming convention (e.g., Top Layer.GBR, Bottom Layer.GBR, Drill File.TXT).
Verify that all critical dimensions and tolerances are clearly specified.
BOM (Bill of Materials) for Assembly
A complete Excel/CSV-formatted list of all components, including:
Part numbers (manufacturer & supplier references)
Descriptions (values, tolerances, package types)
Quantities per PCB
Designators (e.g., R1, C5, U3)
Indicate alternate/approved substitutes (if applicable).
Specify any custom or proprietary components requiring special handling.
Testing Guide & Test Fixtures (If Necessary)
Functional test procedures (step-by-step verification steps).
Test points & expected measurements (voltage, current, signal checks).
Fixture requirements (bed-of-nails, jig design files, probe locations).
Automated test scripts (if applicable, e.g., Python, LabVIEW).
Programming Files & Programming Tool (If Necessary)
Firmware/hex/bin files (with version control notes).
Programming interface (JTAG, SWD, UART, etc.).
Recommended programmer (e.g., ST-Link, Segger J-Link).
Configuration settings (bootloader options, fuse settings, etc.).
Schematic (If Necessary)
PDF & native design files (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).
Netlist & component references matching the BOM.
Revision history & notes (critical design considerations).
